  • All in all I am very happy with the Pi_Top and would buy it again.

Raspian works with the built in wi-fi but following the example of andym in another post, I use a TP-Link Nano Router in client mode to give the portability that laptops deserve.Īt the moment I swap my SD cards between Raspian and RISC and am still trying to work out how to dual boot a Pi3. I have ordered the Pi speakers which work using HDMI/ SPDIF but in the meantime I built a small speaker and amplifier which works from the audio port. I also run RISC OS on the Pi-Top and as already reported the function keys do not work under RISC OS. Perhaps someone could port the code to RISC OS? The software is written in C and can be found in Github. It works well with Raspian and Rene in the user group has already written software to display battery status, control screen brightness and power off in software. I am pleased with my Pi-Top which is fitted with a Pi3. Secondly, if it is a screen issue, how do I change the programs screen resolution so it doesn’t close out (if it is the programs screen resolution causing problems and not the system)? Finally, have you got ArcEM to work, and how did you manage to get ArcEM to run on your system? First, is it a screen issue or a issue with the software possibly not being compatible with the Raspberry PI 3? My screen resolution is at 1920×1080. I would like to get !ArcEM to run, but I have some questions.

I looked at the user manual and found something that stated: ‘If the emulator can’t find a suitable screen mode, it will quit.’ However, if I run !ArcEM with a rom image then the program closes out. When I run the program without any rom images, it displays a grey screen stating it needs a rom image or something like that. It sort of runs, but at the same time, it doesn’t.

I was able to install RISC OS on my new Raspberry PI 3, but I’m unable to get !ArcEM to work. (Ofcourse the HxC manual does not mention what recommended chipset is, or that it is known problems with other chipsets.Question about ArcEM Archemedies Emulator on Raspberry Pi 3 when I recive it i will try again ofcourse. Now I have ordered a serial adapter with a "recommended" chipset. (even the same gotek on the same computer with the same OS with the same adapter, I can flash it to cortex, and then hXc fails right after, then i can flash it with cortex again with no problems.)

when I told him which type of serial adapter it was he told me that it was "well known" that it was crap, even if it works PERFECTLY FINE to flash the same gotek with cortex software time after time. I have been in contact with Jeff (author of HxC) and he ofcourse say its a problem with my computer or my serial adapter. I have tried with two different serial adapters, three different OS'es, four different computers, three different goteks, but still no go. Yes it does require windows unfortunatly (I mainly use linux), and if you ask me its a pretty crappy software too (the windows flash loader), I havent been able to flash any of my goteks with HxC software (yes I paied for a license) since the flashing software simply does not work for me. Hiccup for me is that the initial flashing tool apparently requires Windows, which I don't have (and apparently neither does Jeff? Or did I misread a post in another thread.
